Dr. Brandi Herron was born and raised in Churubusco, Indiana, a small town near Fort Wayne. As an only child, she dreamed of becoming a dentist after visiting the orthodontist in second grade to correct her underbite. During high school, she was actively involved in volleyball, played the flute, and competed in Destination Imagination, a creative problem-solving tournament where teams from around the world worked together to find innovative solutions to given challenges. Dr. Herron graduated from the IU School of Dentistry and decided to pursue a career in Periodontology.
